Bolton’s DECA team participated at the International Career Development Conference at Christian Brothers University on Friday, Jan. 30.

Bolton senior Tamara Johnson and Emily Sneed finished second place in the Travel and Tourism Decision-Making Event, and Brock Davis and Nathan Galloway finished third place in the Business Law and Ethics category.

Junior Bryce Hayes also placed sixth in the Sports Entertainment and Marketing category. These students have also qualified for the state conference.

In addition, seniors Brennan Brown and Austin Corley are first alternates for state.

“It looks like we are going to have at least five, and maybe seven, go to the DECA state conference,” said DECA sponsor and entrepreneurship teacher Robert Bates.

The DECA State conference is March 12-14 at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.
